This year, I told myself that I would start reading more books: non-fiction, fiction, comic, whatever my heart fancied. I thought that a good mix of newer books and, of course, the classics was in order. And so, not so long ago, I started reading Carl Sagan's Cosmos. And let me tell you--mind blowing! All his talk of stars, universes, and the evolution of how things came to be makes me really think twice about life in general. As soon as I'm through with this one, I'm going to delve into one of my favorites and read it all over again as a refresher: Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov. So, my dears, I am curious to know--what are you reading?

At the moment I'm reading Emma by Jane Austen.
ReplyDeleteI love her books! I'm definitely going to try Cosmos though. :)
I just started reading Beth Moore's So Long Insecurity...It's first of hers for me to try, and I'm just barely into it, so I'm not sure how it'll go. :)
ReplyDeleteI love Lolita also! I'm finishing up Kafka on the Shore...slowly because I want to enjoy it longer:)
ReplyDeleteA lovely lovely book called Geisha: A Life, by Mineko Iwasaki. She was who Arthur Goldstein interviewed when he wrote Memoirs of a Geisha, and he essentially stole her background. So after Memoirs, she wrote her autobiography. It's very interesting!
ReplyDeleteI'm reading 'Time Traveller's Wife' because I want to see the movie, but I always like reading the books first! I also reccomend anything by Jodi Piccoult, I love the way she writes her fiction novels
ReplyDeleteAnimal, Vegetable, Miracle - by Barbara Kingsolver
ReplyDeleteEverything is Illuminated, by Johnathan Safran Foer. SO. Damn. Good.
